Joint CANA/Can-SOLVE CKD/CSN Symposium

Transitions of care in CKD, Saturday, April 17 – 12:30-14:00

Transitions between different types of renal replacement therapies and the transition of care from pediatric to adult care teams are risky times in the life of patients with kidney disease. Managing these transitions during the pandemic has posed further challenges, but also provided teams with the opportunity to innovate in a virtual care setting.

Learning objectives:

To understand the main challenges in these transitional processes from the perspective of patients, their families, and care providers, to highlight stories of success, and areas where we can improve patient care.

ISN Community Film Event

Storytelling is a powerful way to inform, educate, and can be a force for change!

The ISN Community Film Event is a unique initiative to raise awareness and improve understanding of the reality of living with kidney disease.

This year’s edition received more than 30 films from 20 countries worldwide, proving, once again, the importance of this forum to share experiences and personal stories with a global audience.

Global Kidney Policy Forum

The Global Kidney Policy Forum: Focus on North America and The Caribbean will be the third in this ongoing series of ISN Policy Forums. The unique format will bring an international focus to the key kidney health challenges and opportunities affecting the North America and Caribbean region.

Given the health disparities identified during the global COVID-19 pandemic, this GKPF will highlight some of the challenges faced by specific populations in accessing kidney healthcare.

The Forum’s overarching objective is to enable policy makers, patients, clinicians and administrators/funders to better understand the opportunities to improve kidney health within their region(s), and propose concrete solutions that will help deliver such goals.
